Quick answer: Fax Navy Federal’s Borrower Response Package (NFCU 711) and your documents to Mortgage Loss Mitigation on 703-255-7947. You can also upload them in HomeSquad or email Mortgage_LM@navyfederal.org. Notices of error and requests for information are different: Navy Federal takes those only in writing, at P.O. Box 3302, Merrifield, VA 22119-3302.

The fax number isn’t on Navy Federal’s Alternatives to Foreclosure page. It’s inside the Borrower Response Package that the page links, now in its October 2026 edition, NFCU 711 (10-26). Older copies say (2-26); the fax is the same in both.

Checked on navyfederal.org on 5 and 6 November 2026.

The exemption fax is only for that job. Navy Federal also takes exemption documents by eMessage, by email to mtg_taxescrow_ltr@navyfederal.org, or by mail to Navy Federal Credit Union, 901 Corporate Center Dr., Pomona, CA 91768, Attn: Escrow Disbursement.

Every borrower signs

The package must be signed by all borrowers on the mortgage loan, and Navy Federal says notarization isn’t required.

The package also contains IRS Form 4506-C, which mentions faxing. That fax is Navy Federal’s job, not yours: the form says the IVES participant, here Navy Federal, faxes it to the IRS. Return it signed with the rest of the package.

HomeSquad, email or mail

To upload, sign in to digital banking, select your mortgage in the Loans section, then select the HomeSquad link. The other routes are email to Mortgage_LM@navyfederal.org, or mail to Attention: Mortgage Loss Mitigation, 820 Follin Lane SE, Vienna, VA 22180-4907. Questions go to 1-888-503-7102, option 4.

What Navy Federal sends back

Navy Federal writes within five business days to say whether the package is complete or what’s missing, and decides within 30 days of receiving a complete one. Meanwhile, the package says you remain obligated to make every mortgage payment as it falls due. Close to a foreclosure date, timing gets tight: the package says that with less than 37 calendar days before a scheduled sale, it can’t guarantee to process the request in time.

Municorn Fax sends the signed package to 703-255-7947 from your phone and keeps a confirmation with the date it went through. See also Wells Fargo and Chase.
