The two successor packages, for someone who has inherited or taken over the home, use fax numbers one digit apart: 6176 after a death, 6175 for anything else. Check the code at the foot of your package, CR316 or CR315, before you dial.
Start with PNC’s own cover sheet
The application PDF includes a page headed “FAX COVERSHEET”, and PNC’s page says to fax “using the cover sheet provided”. Put it first. PNC also asks you to write your loan account number on every page of documentation, pay stubs and bank statements included.
Sending it by email to haa@pnc.com instead? PNC accepts PDF, JPEG or Microsoft Word files only. It can’t open files that are password protected, sitting in a zip file or shared as a link to Google Drive, iCloud or similar.
The 38-day line
If a foreclosure sale has been scheduled, PNC’s page says your application needs to arrive at least 38 days before the sale. That lines up with Regulation X, §1024.41, which gives a servicer 30 days to evaluate a complete application that arrives more than 37 days before a sale. So the date your fax reaches PNC matters, and the fax confirmation shows it.
Letting someone else talk to PNC
For PNC to discuss your loan with someone helping you, such as a relative or a housing counselor, it needs a signed Third-Party Authorization. One borrower’s signature is enough. It stays valid for the life of the loan unless you revoke it in writing. Fax it to 1-855-363-2738 or mail it to PNC Bank, P.O. Box 1820, Dayton, OH 45401.
