Quick answer: Truist’s mortgage assistance fax is 877-589-0758, for documents that don’t need an ink signature. Anything Truist needs signed in ink goes by mail instead. A Third Party Authorization, hand-signed, goes to 866-464-0303. Notices of error and information requests aren’t faxed at all: Truist wants them by mail to a separate address.

Truist changed its assistance page on 27 October 2026 to draw that line between faxable documents and ones that must be signed in ink and mailed. The mailing address for those is Truist Bank VA-RVW-5113, P.O. Box 26150, Richmond, VA 23260.

Four versions of the application

Truist’s forms page links a separate mortgage assistance application for each kind of loan: FHA, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, VA or private, and loans Truist keeps in its own portfolio. Use the one that matches your loan. If you’re not sure which, ask Truist on 800-443-1032. Sending documents for more than one loan? Truist asks for a separate transmission for each loan.

Whatever you send, Truist asks for the loan number at the top of each page. By email, to HomePreservationDocuments@Truist.com, the loan number goes in the subject line, every attachment must be a PDF, and each email can carry eight attachments at most.

Deadlines and replies

Truist’s application says it decides within 30 days of telling you the package is complete, and asks for applications no later than 37 days before a scheduled foreclosure sale. On how fast it confirms receipt, the application contradicts itself: its cover letter says within three business days, and the form says five. If you’ve heard nothing after five, call 800-443-1032.

The application also includes IRS Form 4506-C. The fax numbers printed on that form belong to the IRS’s income verification service, not to Truist: sign it and send it back to Truist with the rest of the package.

The Third Party Authorization

Truist needs the authorization hand-signed and allows up to five business days to process it. Fax it to 866-464-0303, email it to MTGServicingTPA@Truist.com, or mail it to P.O. Box 26149, Mailcode 306-40-04-80, Richmond, VA 23260.

For the faxable part of the package, Municorn Fax sends the pages to 877-589-0758 from your phone; EveryFax does it from your email if your documents are already on a computer. Other servicers: PNC and Navy Federal.
